Lamda Development has presented its plans for the first "green" skyscraper in Greece. This is the Marina Tower, which will be built in the area of the Agios Kosmas Marina in Hellenikon. The tower will have both residential and office spaces.

Lambda Development is a leading real estate developer in Greece with developments in shopping malls, offices and residential development. It is listed on the main market of the Athens Exchange. Lamda is the developer of Hellenikon, the former Airport of Athens, which is being transformed into one of the largest mixed-use tourism, residential and commercial property developments in Greece and Europe.
The Marina Tower will be the tallest building in Greece and the tallest green seaside skyscraper in the Mediterranean. The study and design have been made by Foster + Partners, which has extensive experience in designing tall buildings worldwide.
A key feature of the design approach is creating an aesthetically simple building in harmony with the sea and the characteristics of the Mediterranean landscape.
According to Money Review, the skyscraper will be 200 meters high and will have 200 apartments on 45 floors. It will be the tallest building in Greece.
It is foreseen that the building will allow the minimisation of energy consumption and will be LEED Gold certified.
The Development Director of Elliniko, Zisimos Danilatos noted that
“The Marina Tower will be an architectural landmark with a central focus on green, it will respect the environment, and it will have a well-thought structure for an optimal use.”
