Hydra Rock invests € 475 million in sustainable tourism in Ermionida, Peloponnese

Hydra Rock Real Estate Property S.A. has announced a € 475 million investment to develop a luxury tourist resort in Ermionida, Peloponnese. The project aims to create a complex of tourist accommodation and residential units on a 1,714 acre site, located in the Municipality of Poros in the Attica Region, and a smaller portion in the Metochi area of Ermionida.

The resort will include luxury tourist accommodation and residential units, designed to integrate with the natural landscape and promote sustainable tourism practices. Hydra Rock's focus on eco-friendly development aims to minimize environmental impact, aligning with Greece's broader strategy to promote green tourism.

The project is expected to boost the local economy by creating jobs and attracting high-end international visitors to the area.

This project is part of Greece’s broader initiative to fast-track strategic tourism investments, as highlighted by the government’s recent approval of three major projects worth € 1.2 billion: Hydra Rock Real Estate Property S.A; GH Hotel and Tourism S.A and Astakos Terminal International Trade & Services S.A.

Hydra Rock’s investment will contribute to Greece’s ongoing tourism recovery, which saw a 5.3% revenue increase in early 2024, totaling € 1.1 billion. With 33 million international visitors in 2023, Greece’s tourism is seeing a steady recovery.
