Eurobank plans to invest approximately € 1 billion between 2025 and 2028 in technology, data and artificial intelligence as part of its Banking Forward programme. The programme is focused on expanding digital banking services and redesigning how customers interact with the bank.

The technology strategy is structured around three areas: Cognitive, Conversational and Commercial. The Cognitive component focuses on using data, technology and AI to better understand customer needs. The Conversational element aims to simplify interactions and banking procedures, while the Commercial component seeks to expand the services available through digital platforms, including connections between banking and non-banking services.

According to Eurobank 96% of its transactions are currently carried out digitally, while 61% of digital transactions take place through its mobile application. Customers aged up to 35 account for 94% of digital transactions, and the bank records approximately 574 million annual logins across its e-Banking and Mobile Banking services.

The investment forms part of Eurobank’s wider digital transformation strategy and comes as the bank continues to expand its technology infrastructure, cloud capabilities, data operations and AI applications. Eurobank has identified digitalisation and increased IT investment as important components of its broader transformation plans through 2028.
