Astakos Terminal International Trade & Services S.A. plans € 524 Million marina development

Astakos Terminal International Trade & Services S.A. has unveiled plans for a € 524 million investment to transform the Port of Platygiali in the Astakos area of Aitoloakarnania into a world-class marina catering to mega yachts.


The project aims to redevelop existing port facilities, creating a year-round destination. this investment will feature:


  • A 350-berth superyacht marina.


  • A luxury hotel, high-end villas, and leisure residences.


  • Commercial spaces, including restaurants, shops, and cultural event venues.


  • Modern infrastructure to support maritime activities.


The marina is expected to position Astakos as a premier destination in the Mediterranean for luxury maritime tourism.


This strategic investment is set to strengthen Greece’s tourism sector, generate new jobs, and attract international visitors. The fast-track approval of the project highlights Greece’s commitment to sustainable tourism development. The Astakos Terminal project is one of three projects approved by the Greek government, with a total worth of € 1.2 billion.
