Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening a new Wyndham Grand Hotel on Crete by the summer of 2019. The company has partnered with Zeus International and will rebrand the existing Mirabello Beach & Village Hotel.

The six-floor Mirabello Hotel is owned by the Mamidakis Group and has been operating since 1971 in Agios Nikolaos. The Mirabello Beach Hotel has 176 guestrooms while the Mirabello Village has 115 luxury bungalows.

Zeus International will be responsible for controlling the management of the resort. Wyndham and Zeus International have signed an agreement to develop 20 hotels over the next 10 years in Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Romania.

The partners previously opened the Wyndham Grand Athens in December 2016, along with the 108-suite Wyndham Loutraki Poseidon Resort and the 207-room Ramada Loutraki Poseidon Resort opened in June 2017 on the Gulf of Corinth.

The most recent opening is the Wyndham Athens Residence in the Metaxourgeio neighbourhood of Athens.
